About the ABCD-2

The Aesthetix ABCD-2 is a compact, battery-operated demagnetizer designed specifically for moving coil (MC) phono cartridges. It connects to the tonearm's RCA connectors and runs a 30-second cycle of ultra-pure sine wave frequencies to neutralize unwanted magnetic charge in the cartridge coils, caused by exposure to strong magnets during playback. This removes sonic veils, restoring dynamics, nuance, soundstage clarity, top-end sparkle, and midrange definition. Improved from the ABCD-1 with a smaller, lighter design, single-button operation (with one LED), and AA batteries for ease and worldwide use. Recommended weekly or before sessions; not for MM cartridges. Prolongs cartridge life without residual sonic signature.
