About the Mimas

The Aesthetix Mimas is a dual-mono hybrid integrated amplifier that combines a vacuum tube preamplifier stage (one 6DJ8/6922 per channel in a fully differential, balanced configuration) with a solid-state Class AB power amplifier section. It is voiced and engineered as a high-end solution for serious two-channel and home-cinema systems, delivering 150W per channel into 8Ω and 280W per channel into 4Ω (both channels driven, <1% THD) with bandwidth at full power from 4Hz to 150kHz. The design explicitly draws on Aesthetix's Atlas power amplifier and Calypso linestage, integrating their tube/solid-state topology and control philosophy into a single chassis, with fully discrete, zero-feedback, DC-coupled, balanced-bridge output circuitry and a precision 88-step switched-resistor volume control.
