About the Janus Eclipse

The Aesthetix Janus Eclipse is the top Eclipse-version of Aesthetix’s Janus full-function, all-tube preamplifier. It combines a configurable MM/MC phono stage with a line preamplifier in one chassis, using zero-global-feedback circuitry, balanced and single-ended line connections, remote control, an 88-step switched-resistor volume control, selectable phono gain/loading, polarity inversion, home-theater bypass, and a cartridge demagnetization function. Relative to the standard Janus/Signature platform, the Eclipse execution uses Stealth copper-foil coupling capacitors, hand-adjusted high-frequency tuning capacitors specified to a tight 0.1 dB response tolerance, mechanically isolated transformer/choke mounting with HRS Nimbus couplers, enhanced chassis ventilation, a single-point transformer-case ground arrangement, and a revised low-noise power-supply board/trace layout. Specifications can vary slightly among production revisions and published sources, particularly for balanced output impedance and external dimensions.
