About the Atlas
The Aesthetix Atlas is an innovative hybrid power amplifier available in stereo and mono configurations, with Standard, Signature, and Eclipse editions. It combines a vacuum tube gain stage using one 6SN7 tube per channel for harmonic accuracy and soundstage layering, bipolar driver stage, and bipolar output stage in a fully differential balanced bridge design with zero feedback. Key features include single-ended and balanced inputs, a direct input bypassing crossovers, bus technology for low power supply impedance, dual transformers, three chokes, and a stainless steel cover over transformers to shield audio circuitry. A unique built-in high-pass crossover (6 dB/octave, 16 settings from 40-200 Hz) supports speakers with powered woofers or subwoofers. Signature edition upgrades include doubled high-current capacitance, 14 AWG binding posts, and metal foil resistors. Eclipse adds Stealthcap capacitors, super-matched output devices, distributed node capacitors, chassis isolation, and advanced grounding. The Atlas drives demanding speakers with exceptional clarity, control, and dynamics. Production appears discontinued as of recent listings.
