About the MUSE

The Acurus MUSE is a 16-channel immersive audio/video preamp processor from Acurus/Indy Audio Labs, designed for high-end home-theater and media-room systems. It provides Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding, extensive speaker-management and parametric-EQ functions, ASPEQT room-correction support, balanced analog outputs, HDMI video switching, and installation-oriented Ethernet, RS-232, IR, and 12 V trigger control. The processor supports up to 15.1-channel layouts, including Dolby Atmos configurations up to 9.1.6 in commonly documented operation. It does not include power amplification or built-in music-streaming services. Published specifications vary slightly by hardware revision and documentation generation, particularly regarding the number and standard of HDMI inputs and the maximum internally supported channel configuration.
