About the Vadi
The AcousticPlan Vadi is a high-end CD player from German manufacturer AcousticPlan. It uses a Philips CD Pro-2M transport, a non-oversampling multibit DAC based on the Analog Devices AD1865K, passive I/V conversion, transformer-coupled analogue outputs, a tube-regulated E88CC output stage, and a separate external power supply. The player was designed primarily for standard Red Book CD playback and is notable for its unusually elaborate power-supply architecture, with three transformers and nine independent supply rails. Optional digital inputs expanded its functionality to external digital sources, although the USB input is adaptive and limited to CD-standard resolution. Available documentation describes the Vadi as an outdated/discontinued product rather than a current AcousticPlan model.
