The Acoustic Solid Solid One turntable is designed for audiophiles seeking balanced, high-fidelity analog playback. It features a 50mm thick aluminum platter machined from a single billet, providing a powerful flywheel effect for smooth, cogging-free rotation. The drive system uses a synchronous motor with a string drive housed separately to minimize motor vibration transfer to the platter. Speed control is microprocessor-controlled, allowing convenient switching between 33 and 45 rpm with fine adjustment capability. The chassis is constructed from 80mm strong aluminum, and the turntable weighs approximately 37 kg depending on features. It includes three individually height-adjustable feet for resonance isolation. The Solid One is noted for its palpable stereo imaging, convincing bass extension and timing, and overall smooth, natural sound reproduction. It comes with a Rega RB-250 tonearm included in the standard aluminum finish package The turntable requires a resonance-free support or isolation rack due to its weight and solid construction.
