The ASC StudioTrap is an award-winning acoustic treatment device designed to improve room acoustics for recording, mixing, and listening environments. It features adjustable treble absorption and diffusion, 360-degree mid-bass trapping, and variable height adjustment from approximately 4 to 6 feet. The StudioTrap combines broadband absorption with treble diffusion to control excess reverberation, mid-bass muddiness, and comb filtering, enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio in the room. It is constructed with a sturdy, dent-resistant exoskeleton and lightweight design for easy transport and placement. The device can be arranged in configurations such as the AttackWall or QuickSoundField to create dense early reflections and reduce reverberant noise, improving the clarity and presence of recordings. The StudioTrap's inner material acts as an acoustic impedance wall, extending bass absorption well into the subwoofer range without coloring the sound. Available in multiple fabric colors, it is widely used in vocal and instrument recording, control rooms, and near-field monitor setups.
