About the BSIP-2F
The Acoustic Revive BSIP-2F is a shorting plug intended for use with vacant XLR input terminals on audio equipment. It is constructed from nonmagnetic gold-plated brass and 2017 Duralumin, materials chosen for their vibration damping and noise reduction properties. The plug helps prevent dust and airborne RFI from entering unused inputs, mechanically dampens the connection to reduce resonance, and reinforces the back panel of the equipment to improve sound quality. It includes vibration damping material sheets that can be applied to optimize sonic performance by converting vibrational energy into heat energy. The center pin of the BSIP-2F is nonconductive to avoid shorting output terminals. Users are cautioned to verify compatibility with their equipment manufacturer before use, as some systems may cease sound output when the plug is inserted due to internal wiring configurations. The BSIP-2F is part of Acoustic Revive's line of input shorting plugs designed to enhance audio fidelity by improving signal-to-noise ratio and reducing circuit board movement caused by vibration.
