About the 2+2

The Acoustat 2+2 is a full-range electrostatic floorstanding loudspeaker using four full-range electrostatic panels per channel in a stacked arrangement. Its specified frequency response is 28Hz–20kHz ±2dB, with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, 500W power capability, and a maximum output of 115dB at 20 feet in a 16-by-24-foot room. The published minimum power requirement is 50W per channel, and the electrostatic interface consumes approximately 5W of AC power. Measuring about 94 inches high, 20 inches wide, and 3.5 inches deep, it is an unusually tall loudspeaker intended for full-range, crossoverless reproduction. The system requires a compatible Acoustat interface, such as the MK-121 or MK-141.
