About the Titan II
The ACI Titan II is a high-performance powered subwoofer designed for seamless integration with planar and electrostatic speakers. It features a 12" proprietary extreme long throw cast-frame woofer driven by a 250 watt RMS Class AB amplifier with discrete outputs and a toroidal transformer. The sealed cabinet is constructed from high-density fiberboard with varying thickness and internal bracing to minimize resonance and maximize transient accuracy, resulting in a low system Q of approximately 0.6. The subwoofer offers a continuously variable low-pass crossover from 35 Hz to 250 Hz with slopes from 24 dB/octave increasing to 36 dB/octave, and a phase switch for 0 or 180 degrees adjustment. It includes mono or stereo RCA inputs and line-level outputs, with speaker-level to line-level adapters provided. The Titan II extends bass response down to about 20 Hz with a natural roll-off starting around 80 Hz, delivering tight, deep bass with minimal distortion (<0.5% THD). The cabinet dimensions are approximately 22.75" H x 16.5" W x 16.5" D, weighing about 70 pounds. Available finishes include black, cherry, oak, maple, mahogany, rose-walnut, walnut, and gold oak, with custom finishes offered. The unit comes with a five-year warranty covering parts and labor, including shipping in the first year. Price varies by finish, starting at for black and for cherry.
