The Accuphase P-300 is a highly regarded vintage stereo power amplifier produced between 1975 and 1977. It delivers 150 watts per channel into 8Ω with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz and total harmonic distortion of 0.1%. The amplifier is built like a battleship, known for its bulletproof reliability and superb sonic performance, capable of driving most speaker loads with power and finesse. It features twin analog power meters, multi-voltage capability, front panel RCA inputs, twin attenuators for flexible volume control, a headphone socket, and built-in bandpass filters to remove unwanted frequencies. The P-300 can be used as a no-preamp line-level system and includes a speaker selector switch for up to four sets of speakers. Its design employs a direct-coupled complementary symmetrical circuit topology and carefully selected components for high-quality sound reproduction. The amplifier weighs 25 kg and measures 445 x 152 x 355 mm. It is praised for its warm, rich sound with deep bass and subtle musical nuances, making it a hidden gem among mid-range power amplifiers. Despite its age, it remains serviceable and repairable, often refurbished for long-term use.
