About the AD-60

The Accuphase AD-60 is a plug-in MM/MC phono equalizer board for compatible Accuphase preamplifiers and integrated amplifiers with the company’s option-board slot. It provides RIAA equalization for moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, using a differential MC input stage with four parallel bipolar transistors and a differential MM stage using parallel JFETs. MC loading is selectable, and a defeatable subsonic filter reduces infrasonic energy caused by warped records. It is an internal option board rather than a standalone phono preamplifier: it has no separate chassis, mains supply, external analogue connectors, digital inputs, or streaming functions.
