Sonab is a Swedish HiFi audio brand best known for its innovative omni-directional speakers, amplifiers, and turntables, primarily produced during the 1960s and 1970s. Founded originally as a state-owned company to manufacture Stig Carlsson's unique speaker designs, Sonab products became renowned for their robust build and distinct Scandinavian aesthetics. The company ceased its original operations around 1979, after which the Sonab name was later used for lower-cost imported audio products that had no connection to Carlsson or the original Swedish legacy. Classic Sonab products are now regarded as vintage audio icons, celebrated for their unique sound and design philosophy.
