About RCA
RCA, originally the Radio Corporation of America, was founded in 1919 as a major American electronics company and pioneer in radio, television, and consumer electronics. It created the first nationwide American radio network (NBC) and was instrumental in developing color television technology. RCA acquired Victor Talking Machine Company in 1929, becoming known for audio innovations, including the iconic Nipper logo. Though the original company dissolved in the 1980s after a GE acquisition, RCA continues as a brand name today, licensed by various companies for products like 4K TVs, tablets, smartphones, and home appliances. RCA remains a symbol of American technological innovation and heritage in consumer electronics.
