About Placette Audio
Placette Audio is a specialist manufacturer of high-end preamplifiers, passive linestages, and remote volume controls, owned and operated by Guy Hammel in Boise, Idaho. The brand is recognized for its pursuit of sonic transparency and minimal signal coloration, employing top-quality components such as Vishay S-102 foil resistors and relay-switched stepped attenuators. Placette's products are available factory-direct, sometimes offering custom configuration and balanced operation. Their minimalist philosophy prioritizes revealing the full capabilities of an audio system, making them highly regarded among audiophiles seeking neutral and highly detailed sound reproduction.
