About New York Audio Labs, Inc.
New York Audio Labs, Inc. was a pioneering American high-end audio manufacturer most active in the 1980s, best known for its innovative hybrid tube/MOSFET amplifiers and preamps under the 'Moscode' name. The company, founded by Harvey Rosenberg, introduced groundbreaking products such as the Moscode 150, 300, and 600 amplifiers—hybrids combining the warmth of tubes with the power and reliability of solid-state devices—as well as the legendary Futterman OTL (Output Transformerless) designs like the OTL-1 and OTL-4, based on Julius Futterman's circuit. Their equipment earned a reputation for delivering audiophile-grade sound, particularly with planar and electrostatic speakers. Although long out of business, New York Audio Labs' products remain revered among collectors and enthusiasts for their distinctive sonic character and historical contribution to audio technology.
