Mullard is a historic British electronics brand, originally founded as the Mullard Radio Valve Company by Captain Stanley R. Mullard in 1920. Renowned for its high-quality vacuum tubes (valves) and electronic components, Mullard played a key role in radio, TV, and hi-fi development, becoming internationally recognized for reliability and performance. Through a partnership and later ownership by Philips, Mullard expanded into semiconductors and other electronics, at its peak producing the majority of British semiconductors. Today, the Mullard name is revived for vacuum tubes produced by Sovtek/New Sensor, remaining venerated among audiophiles and musicians.
