About International Projector Corporation (IPC)
International Projector Corporation (IPC) was an American manufacturer established in 1925 through the merger of Acme Motion Picture Projector Company, Precision Machine Co. Inc., and Nicholas Power Company. Headquartered in New York and later operating in New Jersey, IPC became known for its Simplex cinema projectors and associated audio amplification equipment, including tube preamps and theater amplifiers, primarily serving the film exhibition industry into the early 1950s. The company played a key role in cinema technology, merging with other notable firms over its history.
