About Altusa
Altusa was a leading brand specializing in premium clay roof tiles, known for their traditional Spanish and Old World aesthetics. Established with manufacturing roots in Barcelona, Spain in 1900, Altusa operated extensive production facilities in Venezuela (1985–2006) and Honduras (2006–2016), distributing widely across the Caribbean, South, and Central America, as well as the United States. Revered for their durable, earth-toned, and architecturally versatile tiles, Altusa held a significant market niche until production ceased in 2016 after the brand was acquired by Ceramica Verea USA in 2017. Though discontinued, Altusa tiles remain sought after for restorations and projects aiming for authentic, classic clay roof styles.
